WebOutLoud sets itself apart again with another advanced feature not offered by Speechify, the "Pronunciations" feature.

Start a new substitution via selection context menu (from iOS app).

You can also think of the Pronunciations feature as a "Substitutions" feature. It allows you to substitute any word or phrase with a word or phrase of your choosing. This comes in handy because, as frequent users of text to speech software know, it doesn't always pronounce words the way you want. The pronunciations feature solves this problem for you.
